gps precision
<t>Hello! The new "Set GPS from current Google Earth position" is great, but I with it were a little greater. It seems that the recorded coordinates in GraphicConverter are rounded to integer seconds of arc, which is about the size of a large house. Google Earth works with 1/100th of a second of arc...

earth icon in browser
<t>Hello! I have some pictures that I geo-tagged with GC, and their status shows up as a little earth icon in a corner of the browser thumbnail. I just noticed that the little icon goes away if I uncheck "Rating" in the Browser: Display Thumbnail preference panel. It reappears if I check "Rating" ag...

Re: geotags...
<r>What version are you using? Mine is dated as modified 2007-07-11 at 13:19 I just tried again. I take a picture, geocode it with GC, then upload it to Flickr. The gps coordinates show up in the "More properties" page. But I don't have automatic placement on the map. When I press "Place picture on ...

<r>Yes, now with the latest beta the gps tags do appear in the exif list in Flickr. Still, I would expect Flickr to automatically place the picture onto the map using the geotag info. It doesn't. On the page "<URL url="http://flickr.com/account/geo/import/">http://flickr.com/account/geo/import/</URL...

gps tags (ongoing)
<t>I am following with interest the gps tag feature in GC. The latest beta 4 does not recognize the gps tags set by the previous betas. And Flickr does not take into account the tags set by beta 4 or earlier. Also, I noticed that the coordinates taken by GC are rounded to the arc second. Is there a ...
gps tags
Hello! I like a lot the new gps feature in the GC 6 beta. However, if I insert a gps tag into a picture in GC, and then upload the picture to Flickr, it seems that Flickr does not take notice of the tag. It treats the picture as a plain non-geocoded one. Can anyone confirm this? Gianluca

Re: gps tags
<r>Guten Tag! Then Thorsten should take note: we may want to see "O" in the German version of GC, but not in the English version. HoudahGeo does not seem to recognize GC's geo-tags. GC reads HoudahGeo's tags. East coordinates set in HoudahGeo show up as "E", not as "O". My guess is that GC actually ...

gps tags (correction)
I got mixed up: it is East that is marked as "O". West comes out as "W". Also, HoudahGeo does not seem to recognize the gps tags set by GC beta. Can anybody confirm this? Luca
gps tags
<t>Hi! I am very glad that GraphicConverter is going to let us geo-tag pictures. I have a question about the detail of the tag in the current beta: in the exif summary, North, South and East appear as N, S, E. Unexpectedly, West is marked as "O". Is this intentional? One more question: does GC write...

scrollwheel zoom inside slideshow
Hi! I just discovered that I can zoom during slideshow in GC! This is great! To enlarge the picture, I have to turn the scrollwheel *up*. This is exactly the *opposite* as what I am used to in GoogleMaps. Why this difference? Best regards, Gianluca
