Re: Setting GPS [1 Attachment]
<t>If you can get a copy of GoogleEarth version 6, it will work beautifully with GraphicConverter. At least, it does on my system. There is an annoyance, though: when you launch GoogleEarth 6, it will silently "upgrade" itself to the current version, without asking for permission, and you will be stu...

IPTC for movies vs spotlight
Hi, GraphicConverter lets us add IPTC annotations to movies too, not just to pictures. Unfortunately, it seems that the spotlight search engine does not notice movie IPTC. Is there a way to make spotlight include movie IPTC into its index? Best regards, Gianluca

Google maps vs. Google Earth
Hi everybody! When I click on the geotag icon on a picture in the browser in GC7, Google Maps starts up. I want Google Earth, not Google Maps. Is there a way to change the behavior of GraphicConverter? Best regards, Gianluca

time zone management
<t>Hi, I have some puzzles with time zones: 1) how do I tell GC7 to show the *local time* of the picture in the browser window? Right now it shows my Brasilian pictures with the Italian time. 2) Some other Brasilian pictures were imported in a different way, and GC7 displays the EXIF (local) time as...

problem with gps and tiffs in 6.3
<t>Hi everybody! The version history says that with version 6.3 set gps supports now tiffs, too (UB) I have many scanned tiffs, and I tried to set gps coordinates for them from the browser, using the menu item "Set gps from current GoogleEarth position". The menu item is not dimmed, but the coordina...

browser in 6.1
<t>Hi! I have found that in the last couple of weeks the behaviour of the GC browser has changed a bit in a way that I don't like. I am not sure, but I think the novelty has come with version 6.1. First, the preview window is not any more a panel in the browser, but a separate window. I would not ca...
djvu
<r>Hi everybody! Just yesterday I discovered the DjVu file format <URL url="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DjVu">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DjVu</URL> For storing scans of text documents, it seems that DjVu is vastly superior to other formats such as jpg or pdf. And DjVu is a free file format. I won...

Re: picture date in browser/exif/iptc
<r>Can I do that for a whole folder? Great! However, that works for *exif* dates. I have thousands of *scanned* pictures: their shooting date is recorded in the iptc, not in the exif. Is there a way? Cheers, Gianluca --- In <EMAIL email="gcmac@yahoogroups.com">gcmac@yahoogroups.com</EMAIL>, Thorsten...

picture date in browser/exif/iptc
<t>Hello! I just moved my data to a new hard disk, and I discovered that all the creation dates for my pictures have been reset. I suspect that the culprit is the migration assistant. Previously, each picture had its shooting day as creation date, and I could see it displayed in the browser. The sho...

Re: gps precision
<r>I had the X version. Now I tried with the UB version, and I do get decimals in the gps tags! I am going to switch to UB. Unfortunately, the UB version has separate preferences. Is there an easy way to import the X preferences? Luca --- In <EMAIL email="gcmac@yahoogroups.com">gcmac@yahoogroups.com...
