Re: [Solved] Symbol jumping in Cadintosh 8.8.7 (Build 745)
Simple edit the symbol. It will be opened in a new window.
Now just move all elements with the transform function.
The point zero, zero is the base point.
Ah, that's the crucial bit. The base point is 0, 0. Thanks.
Actually, I think I might have originally known that, but must have forgotten ...

Re: Symbol jumping in Cadintosh 8.8.7 (Build 745)
You set the base point (which is the rotation point, too) during symbol creation:

Yes, but how can you change that later (when you realise you chose the wrong point :( ).
Thanks for fixing the flip issue, although in the meantime, I was able to achieve ...

Re: Symbol jumping in Cadintosh 8.8.7 (Build 745)
I have determined it is the Selection Mode and I have seen the effect in other symbols with the Mode set to 'Automatic'. It just depends on what other lines etc are close. So I set Selection Mode to 'Freehand' in order to place the symbols. That function might need looking at though.

[Solved] Symbol jumping in Cadintosh 8.8.7 (Build 745)
Been working on this project for a long time and have quite a lot of symbols and all work as expected. However…
I just created 3 new symbols, all simple and similar with just some small differences. Creation went perfectly, but…
If I add one of them to the drawing it is impossible to place it ...

Re: Print scaling
Yes and made sure I did NOT select 'Complete drawing scaled to fit on one page'. I just printed the only print area I had defined - onto A4 paper.Did you define a print area and select this area for printing?

Re: Print scaling
In the Cadintosh design/file, there are 2 holes 144mm apart, centre to centre. When I printed this onto A4, using an HP Envy 5530, the 2 holes are 145.5mm CtoC.
I then printed onto an Apple LaserWriter 16/600 and the 2 holes are 144.5mm CtoC.
So the Laser is not as bad, but they're both wrong. I ...

Print scaling
Last year I designed a pattern that I printed, pasted to a sheet of carbon fibre and cut the CF to suit the shape and holes etc as laid out in the Cadintosh diagram. Worked perfectly and the resulting CF panel was exactly as required.
I just opened that file and moved some of the holes, but left ...

Calculating area
<t>Having drawn the house plans, I need to calculate the overall area. I had a good look and couldn't see any vaguely relevant commands, but can't help thinking it's something Cadintosh ought to be able to do and hence maybe I'm missing something. Is there a way to get Cadintosh to calculate the area ...
