Re: GC 12.0.6 .dmg fails to mount in Sonoma 14.0

Another workaround is to give "DiskImageMounter" Full Disk Access in the Privacy & Security System Settings (thanks to HWTech for this tip). I hope Sonoma update will fix this.

/System/Library/CoreServices/DiskImageMounter

Re: GC 12.0.6 .dmg fails to mount in Sonoma 14.0

Most .dmg open OK in Sonoma but I noticed that a .dmg with a license agreement pop-up have the same problem. Such as: GraphicConverter, TinkerTool, DMG Canvas: https://www.lemkesoft.de/en/products/graphicconverter/download http://www.bresink.com/osx/0TinkerTool/download.php https://www.araelium.com/...

Re: GC 12.0.6 .dmg fails to mount in Sonoma 14.0

I used xattred.app to remove the quarantine flag and after that the .dmg mounted.

Maybe some teething issues with Sonoma 14.0? I have never needed to do this manually before. This is a clean Sonoma install and all other downloaded .dmg images have mounted OK.

[Solved] GC 12.0.6 .dmg fails to mount in Sonoma 14.0

GC 12.0.6 .dmg fails to mount in Sonoma 14.0 (Permission denied). A fresh download with Sonoma Safari from both GC servers fail. Also a previously Ventura Safari GC 12.0.5 .dmg download fails to mount in Sonoma although no problem was in Ventura with that .dmg. No problem with other .dmg images so f...

Re: [Added] Single Action Date Change

I hope there is an option to modify ONLY the dates that ALREADY exist ('-wm w' write existing tags). The main date tag in images is: ExifIFD:DateTimeOriginal And in somewhat more messy movies: QuickTime:CreateDate Keys:CreationDate Many devices and apps insert many other date tags but I prefer to ke...

Re: [Solved] Clarification of lossless JPEG cropping

> JPEG Turbo opens the JPEG faster on an Intel machine than with the other library. So with the new lossless crop interface I can switch to the faster JPEG Turbo, right? (I have had JPEG 6c on because of this). BTW I noticed that at least in one test image the crop was 8x11 and its multitudes when I...

Re: [Solved] Clarification of lossless JPEG cropping

So in the new Lossless cropping it is no longer necessary to set preference Open > JPEG: JPEG 6c, right?

BTW, what is the difference between TurboJPEG (GC default) and JPEG 6c -- when does it matter which one is selected?

Re: [Solved] Find files with resource forks

Thanks. Initially I thought none of the images had resource forks because the GC alert was always "0 files with a resource fork was selected". But later I noticed that there were, indeed, 282 files with resource forks selected in the Browser list. I was surprised to find that the combined ...
