How Large is GC 10
I’m curious about how large GC 10 is.When I open GC 10, it takes about 20 seconds for the dialog box to open.I can open Microsoft Word in 10 seconds.Just how large is this thing?

Difference in Versions
When I do a get info on the GC10 app, Finder reports version 10.0.1.After I start GC10, and choose “About GC", it reports version 10.1.Why the discrepancy? Which version is correct?

Re: Help Files using 9.7.5
When I got GC 9.7.5 I followed the steps that you describe. GC is working fine.I obviously got the Finder Help menu. When GC is active, I see the correct Help menu.Maybe it’s time to hang up the old HD.Thanks for your help.

Re: Help Files using 9.7.5
Thorsten. It’s been a long time since I upgraded.I’m probably too old to understand this situation. Thanks for your suggestion.I don’t know what “launch and activate” means. I double-clicked the installer and that was it.We get what we deserve. :)

Help Files using 9.7.5
I’ve used GC since 1992. Recently, I upgraded to 9.7.5.When I choose Help from the menu, the only items are Mac OS X help files.GC used to have extensive help files. Did I download the wrong version?Or have they been eliminated.

Image position
Apologies. I'm sure this has been answered. When I open a jpeg file on 10.8.5, the image is always displayed in the upper left-hand corner. What do I need to do so that when the file is opened, it is displayed in the center of the screen (or any other position).

Re: Removing A Logo
<r>In this case, these were not copyrighted materials. These were taken with someone's digital camera. The logo was apparently an attempt at humor. If it can't be removed, then all I can do is crop. Thanks ---In <EMAIL email="gcmac@yahoogroups.com">gcmac@yahoogroups.com</EMAIL>, <gbalzer@...> wrote:...

Removing A Logo
I recently received a set of JPEG's from a friend that have a very large logo that actually masks some of the picture. Is there a way to remove a logo from a JPEG?(I searched the manual and the group messages, but couldn't find how to do this.)Danke
