Re: Banding - is it because of the preview image stored in RAW?
<t>Hi Thorsten,I will send it to you so you can see it first hand, but I am thinking it is not a problem with GC but instead just a poor quality JPG preview. As I mentioned in my first post, I found that when I view the same photo when it was still in my camera on its back LCD screen I saw the exact...

Banding - is it because of the preview image stored in RAW?
<t>Hopefully someone can set my mind at ease about a used lens I bought. I took a photo walk today at lunch to test it out and shot maybe 20 photos. When I got home I used GC to download them off the card and look at them via the GC browser A few of them where shot with a lot of blue sky in the uppe...

Re: IPTC editing behavior changed
Thanks Thorsten,I will give the keyboard preference a try. Never had to resort to that one before since the specific functions I like seemed to already have short cuts assigned. And I should have known about Alt-RETURN. Just wasn't thinking. :)Patrick

Frank,Try Google's Snapseed application. Works on iPad, iPhone, and Android. For iPad, minimum requirement is iOS 5.1. I know that application has sharpening tool plus a bunch of others.Patrick

Re: Setting GPS [1 Attachment]
It still works fine with GC v9.4. I haven't tried v9.5 yet. If it is GoogleEarth, then shouldn't it not work with 9.4 either?

Olympus E-M1 video files time stamp problem
<t>I have discovered an issue with importing videos with GC. For photos it works fine. But when I have videos as well, they get the file info changed so that the time stamp is now 5 hours earlier than when taken and also verified on the original files on the SD card in GC.I suspect that maybe becaus...

Re: Slow raw files
<t>Just a followup on this thread. I finally got around to trying some stuff out. Older RAW files from my older cameras didn't load any faster in the slideshow so it wasn't my new camera's files causing additional delay. I did try GC Prefs > Open > Photo Raw > Opening Toolbox > Only dcraw and I also...

Re: Slow raw files
<r>Matti,I have noticed the same with my Olympus RAW images. I was using GC v6 for a long time until I finally updated to Mac OS 10.9 (Mavericks), GC v6 no longer operated properly, so I updated to the latest version of GC and now notice at fullscreen (slideshow) the transition from one image to the...

Re: workflow: DSLR camera SD card with RAW & JPG images
<t>Hi Deborah, >> "I then do though the EXCELLENT features of GraphicConverter>> where I also set the metadata fields." Are you automating this or do you mean manually opening and entering into those field. I took think the ease of which you can change or add metadata through GC is great, but was cu...
