[Closed] Reverse Image Search
I am in the process of compiling a photobook of family photos from a number of different sources. I have hundreds of photos, mostly B&W, and quite a few are duplicated multiple times. Some duplicates have slightly different aspect ratios, slightly different levels of contrast, etc I would like to be ...

Re: Effects -> Despeckle
Thank you
I've been struggling off and on for some years to try to get Despeckle … to work. It would be helpful if there was a paragrapgh in the manual explaining it only works with B&W images or the operation was simply not available for colour images …

[Solved] Effects -> Despeckle
Perhaps I'm being very slow but I've never understood the Despeckle… function or how it's supposed to work - it doesn't seem to be mentioned in the manual anywhere. My understanding is that it is supposed to remove "dust" marks from images? I'm clearly doing something wrong as what it does when I u ...

[Closed] Removing "dimples" from scanned photos
Older "matt" finish photos achieved the matt look by dimpling the surface. These dimples are all too visible on scanned photos. Suggestions please for the best way to remove the dimples without significantly deteriorating the image. I've tried several ways but they all significantly reduce the image ...

[Closed] Forums won't allow login via Frefox
No idea when this first happened …
I've used Firefox for these forums for a long time but suddenly, I can now no longer login via Firefox. Works with Safari, which I'm now using.
Any idea what the problem might be?

Re: Suspending Use of iCalamus
Sorry, the document I was working on was quite large (+100MB) and I have deleted it. And have now discovered my backup system wasn't backing up the specific location … Having worked on the document in Pages, I now suspect the printing problem might be more to do with the drivers for my printer r ...

Re: Printing
Sorry - although in the Adobe Acrobat Reader for PDFs it looks as though it will print correctly, when I actually print, the A5 pages are also shrunk. So, in iCalamus, printing 1 x A5 page per per A4 sheet of paper, they are the correct size. Printing 2 x A5 pages per A4 sheet shrinks the A5 pages ...

Printing
macOS 12.2 iCalamus 2,24 Epson 2650 printer Just to first say, iCalamus is looking pretty good. I've only just started exploring what it can do but impressed so far. So, I'm working on a booklet. For the moment, A5 size pages, and I'm trying to print 2 x A5 pages on to A4 paper. Sort of works but ...

Re: Rename files via lookup table
Sorry - just realised I didn't attach the file :-) However, when I try to attach the Numbers file, it is not allowed. It says wrong extension … It seems I am only allowed to attach image format files. So, I have changed the extension to .jpg I am then allowed to upload the file. If you change the e ...
