Save & Next not working any more
<t>Suddenly for no reason I can see, "Save and Next" in GC 9.7.4 is no longer working. What I GET is basically useless - TWO copies of UNALTERED images "the original" and whatever the unlabelled OTHER image is - they are both copies of the original even though I have made several editing changes. ...

How to batch convert JPEGs to lower ppi?
I'd like to know if anyone's found a way to batch (change) JPEG files from (for example) 216 pixels per inch to 180 ppi. I imagine this can be done with Apple Script but have little experience with it. Any help will be appreciated, I have over 1000 such files to convert.

Re: Graphic Converter fans
<r>Personally, the reason I originally bought GC was this it did a few simple things very well - and some which Photoshop didn't do at all. Now we're talking about making GC an imitation of Photoshop? Naw, for that we have GIMP. Photoshop is a great image editor /modifier - for those serious about i...

Re: How to "batch convert" many jpegs to higher pixel count
<r>GC 7.6.3 has a menu: "Picture" within that menu is the "Size" menu, within that you get a control panel which offers the options to increase / decrease both physical size and pixel count. Using that control panel, I can already change ppi count from 72 to 216. But that's doing one jpeg at a time....

How to "batch convert" many jpegs to higher pixel count
I have two reasons I like to convert "batches" of jpegs to higher pixel count (ex. - from 72 ppi to 216 ppi). Haven't done that in a while - lost track of the procedure. Anyone care to "remind me" how it's done? Currently using GC 7.6.3, Power Mac OS 10.6.8. Thanks in advance.

Re: can't save jpegs higher than 72ppi
<r>Hello, I "think" that ppi is important when, for example, printing an image. I'm not completely sure but it used to be that printers needed to have the physical dimensions established (at for example 4"x6")_ AND_ have a preset ppi of a certain minimum value (example: 150 ppi minimum). When I do P...

Re: noise reduction
<r>I use a Photoshop filter from Topaz Labs: DeNoise. It works better than anything I've tried before. But then, I'm a NAPP member and use Photoshop CS5 and Photoshop Elements almost exclusively. a --- In <EMAIL email="gcmac@yahoogroups.com">gcmac@yahoogroups.com</EMAIL>, "Marco" <ciaspole@...> wrot...

Re: GC 7.6.3 (450) slide show controls missing
<r>Belated thanks, although the action I took was to *check* not uncheck the needed feature. Overlooked on the first visual search - I was thinking there should be only *one* button to show all controls in slide show. --- In <EMAIL email="gcmac@yahoogroups.com">gcmac@yahoogroups.com</EMAIL>, Thorste...
