Re: Jpegs and Metadata

<r>Thanks, Thorsten. Until now I've not needed to go to the "+". My two-word keywords are unique to the IPTC Keywords field. It's strange that each of 10 jpegs (out of 900) are being found twice, yet the keyword "Smith Audrey", for example, is present in each only once and only in the Keywords field...

Re: Jpegs and Metadata

<r>Thanks, Thorsten.  Not quite sure what you mean but I attach a screenshot of the result of entering the keyword "Smith Audrey" (quotes not used in Search).THe Caption on the file "5_of_us_crop.jpg" which is found once is:Children of Derek Cyril Harrill (son of Robert Collins Harrill) and Audrey H...

Re: Jpegs and Metadata

<r>This was v useful and I have been happily captioning and keywording people photos by IPTC ever since. I have now run into a problem, no doubt my own fault. Using Browser Search to look for a person by entering a keyword (surname-firstname pair), I am now getting strange results. I am finding jpeg...

Re: GC9 Metadata [2 Attachments]

<r>That is quite amazing, Thorsten. I feel quite emotional after watching all those files changing, having done a few, laboriously and tediously, by hand. Is there anything that GC9 can't do? Many thanks. Brian > On 19 Nov 2015, at 13:03, Thorsten Lemke <EMAIL email="lemke@lemkesoft.de">lemke@lemkes...

Re: GC9 Metadata

<r>I'be be happy to replace one keyword at a time in a group of files. I've only got several keywords to change. I've been using GC9 to edit IPTC keywords one file at a time. A bit tedious but my fault. I hadn't thought of Spotlight. > On 19 Nov 2015, at 10:08, Thorsten Lemke <EMAIL email="lemke@lem...

Re: GC9 Metadata

<t>Forgive me if these are silly questions. I would like to change an IPTC keyword in about 100 jpegs. Can this be done globally? Also, when searching, is it possible to search in such a way that, for example, "patricia" doesn't find "pat" and vice versa? I've tried using quotes it doesn't work. Bri...

GC9 Metadata

I'm using GC9 to add IPTC Captions and Keywords to my jpegs. A very nice facility. Is there any way of outputting a 3-column table listing Filename, Caption, Keywords? Brian
