[Added] Circular gradations
Hi: Is there an efficient way to draw something like the following in CADintosh? Dial indicator face 1635284553191.jpg I see that the 'Line at an angle tool' can draw from the centre to the rim and then with another circle I could trim the major and minor tick marks to the correct length. Is there s...

[Solved] Drawing/document scale
Hi: Inexperienced user here... I want to create a floor plan of one section of the basement of my house. The space is approximately 32 feet long by 11 feet wide and, as you can tell, I'm most comfortable working in feet and inches. Since I want to be able to print the plan on a single 11 X 8.5 lette...

Re: [Solved] DXF import -- thick lines
Thank you very much. It appears this is related to an Imperial v. metric assumption, no? The scaling factor of (3/0.12) is 25 which is suspiciously close to the number of millimetres in an inch (25.4). Could it be possible to have a setting for importing DXF files that controls the default scale and...

[Solved] Hatching or other fills
Hi: I can't seem to figure out how to control hatching or other fills properly. Say I'm drawing a simple rod that is threaded on either end and has an unthreaded section in the middle. I drew the outline of the threaded rod with a polyline and then added lines to delineate the threaded and unthreade...

[Solved] Text box -- text size
Hi: I don't understand the text box "Size: ___ inch". Through trial and error, I've found I need to set it to a very small value (like 0.004) or the text in the box is so large that it is positioned too far down in the text box to be visible. My unit of measure is decimal inches and the sc...

Pre-drawn symbols
Hi: I'm testing out CADintosh; long time GrapicConverter user! I have become interested in hobby metalworking and have a small metal lathe. I want to be able to draw out parts with dimensions before I start cutting metal. I'm self-taught and have rudimentary experience with CAD. I used to use a prog...
