The problem turned out to be the option to post process with ImageOptim which strips metadata. Unchecking that box in Convert and Modify Options solved my problem.

I'm trying to convert a batch of TIFFs to JPG but when I use Convert and Modify I'm losing all my metadata. If I do a Save As... everything works as expected.
