Re: Rename files via lookup table

Sorry for not replying sooner. Although I have notifications set to email me when there is a reply, for some reason it doesn't seem to work … OK - part of the indexing file attached. Index is the original index for the slides and the index assigned as I digitise - the images in GC currently have thi...

Re: Rename files via lookup table

OK - I wasn't sure because I don't use some of the more sophisticated capabilities of GC.

The spreadsheet is currently in Numbers although I can convert to Excel if you'd prefer?

Thanks,

Larry

[Solved] Rename files via lookup table

OK, I am in the process of digitising a large number (2000+) of old slides. At the time, I carefully indexed all these slides using a system which made perfect sense at the time. Now, it seems a rather stupid way to have indexed the slides … However, at the time, I also made a table giving details o...

[Closed] Lost License Key

OK - my own fault :-) I'm in the process of a clean install and major rebuild of my iMac. Reinstalled GC and started it up. Asks for license key. Check keychain secure notes - find details for GC license key. Enter in GC but told it's no good, it's a GC10 key. Check my emails and find old email with...

Center Brightness Correction & Stitching Panoramas

I have a sequence of x7 images that I want to stitch together into a single panoramic image. I use DoubleTake for the stitching and it usually works well. However, this sequence was taken just before dawn at F5.6 and because of the relatively large aperture, the image edges are darkened. The sky is ...

Live Rotation Grid

iMac (Retina 4K, 21.5-inch, 2019) macOS Mojave 10.14.5 I've just upgraded to a new iMac with retina display :-) The grid for live rotation at first sight appears to have vanished. However, if after selecting Live Rotation, I then zoom in on the image, the grid becomes visible but the lines are very ...

Re: White Scroll Bars in 10.7.1 (3460)

Thanks Thorsten - works fine. Changing the subject with both 10.7.1 (3460) and the beta, after installation, browser and edit windows don't show. GC seems to think they are there as they are listed in the Windows menu drop down - but not visible. But trashing preferences and restarting the iMac sort...

Re: White Scroll Bars in 10.7.1 (3460)

Thanks - changing the system setting produces, for me, the better result.

White Scroll Bars in 10.7.1 (3460)

iMac (20 inch, early 2008)
OS 10.11.6

I've just downloaded GC 10.7.1

In the Browser mode, the background to the scroll bars is white, used to be dark grey ....

Most distracting!

Trashed preferences - still happening.

Re: Precise relative positioning of layers

OK, which was my understanding.

This returns to my orginal question - because the images are large (50 to 80 megapixel, I need to rotate very precisely. 0.5º over several 1,000 pixels is significant. The sliders controls in Layers -> Transform ... are not sufficiently precise.

Thanks,

Larry
