Re: New GC 10.6 browser icon
Thanks, the Drop Area is great when comparing shots!! (I experienced this several times randomly with brand new "untitled folders" without knowingly adding items to the Drop Area -- maybe some items were cached?)

New GC 10.6 browser icon
What does this new number in GC 10.6 browser mean? The number of images in current month? Where to turn it off?

Re: iPhone .png screenshot import date
<r>Hello, The "Image Capture.app" in OS X 10.8 does preserve the original iPhone screen capture file dates. Is there a different "Apple Image Capture" protocol that GC uses that can't preserve the dates? ...I use GC to import images from all my cameras except the iPhone. I wasn't somehow even aware ...

<r>Hello, Oh, I see. Is Apple aware of the problem? I might myself mail a bug report to Apple about this but I guess they don't much listen complaints from the end-users... danke, - Matti --- In <EMAIL email="gcmac@yahoogroups.com">gcmac@yahoogroups.com</EMAIL>, Thorsten Lemke <lemke@...> wrote: > t...

Re: Set date based on EXIF does not work pre year 1970
<r>GC 6.7.6 sets the file date as 1.1.1970. And even that is then for some reason zeroed to just hyphens in file lists after a reboot (FileBuddy shows them as year 1904). On the other hand, GC 8 build890 sets the file date to the distant future! - Matti --- In <EMAIL email="gcmac@yahoogroups.com">gc...

Re: Set date based on EXIF does not work pre year 1970
OK, but why does GC set the file dates of such files with EXIF dates in the 1950's to year ~2090?? Shouldn't it just label them as 1970 (hopefully with the month-day-minute-second info intact)? > this is a limitation of the file system. > > Thorsten

Re: Set date based on EXIF does not work pre year 1970
Hello, So I can set old file dates such as year 1958 with FileBuddy in OS X 10.6.8. But after a reboot all those dates are reverted to blank in Finder file lists and FileBuddy shows them as year 1904. Is this a limitation of the file system?? Could GC handle this more gracefully? - Matti
