I avoid mirroring settings from dialogs to the prefs.

So, that options apply only to an opened document and the settings can be accessed with the "Options" button.

The internal architecture does not allow that dynamic naming, yet.
So, closed for now.

2b and 2c will be fixed in build 5485.

This is currently due the internal architecture not possible.

I write the XMP metadata with the Adobe XMP SDK.

It adds the padding. Also, this is done by design. Please check the official XMP docs. The idea is: an additional change of the XMP metadata has to write only that small part of the file.

Did you grant full disk access permissions to GraphicConverter in the Apple system settings?
