Are you fellows referring to the Cadintosh version number? You mention 10.7 and 10.7.3? My app shows 8.4.4 and an update check shows this as the latest version. Thanks for your pointers. I'll give it a try. I'd love to be able to work in feet-inches-fractions-of-inches, but I'll give it a go with what you indicate for just doing everything in inches. I work with someone who is used to drawings/drafting truly done to scale. So I was hoping the scaling factor...

Are there easy pointers for doing scale drawings in imperial units? I'd like to specify everything in feet, inches and fractional inches. How to enter these into the input bar? I'd like the dimensioning to appear in the same manner - ft, in, fractional inches. And I'd like the drawing to be rendered...

I can't seem to get the knack of using the Scale selection drop down (for example trying to set it to 1/4 in = 1 ft).
Then there is the Scale of Layer 1023 (which is where the page/paper size gets loaded)? How does that work.
Then there are the scale options for alternate units.

For me, the issue was having the "cached drawing" option selected under the general app preferences (under the CADintosh menu).
It also helps to turn off any mouse/trackpad enhancements. But for me the major culprit was the "cached drawing".

Okay. Thanks. My efforts have involved changing a color when here is not a prior element in the desired color to use as a reference.
I see from your response that I can change one item and then use it to recolor the rest by the method you stated.
