The alpha-keys are used in the browser to select an image.
You can i.e. type samp and the first document in the browser which begins with samp will be selected.

The very common palettes information, toolbox and layer can be toggled with a click into the icon in the footer of the image window.

So, you need only a few shortcuts for the other palettes.

I suggest to use the Drag and Drop Converter from the File menu for conversion of files from different source with drag and drop:

GC12 uses the ExifTool for embedding the XMP record. That solves the issue of the Adobe XMP SDK with ORFs.

The behavior of convert&modify with the drop area is intended and can not be changed due the internal implementation.

Just install extensions for the Apple color picker and use the picker for display of different color models.

Every user uses different functions in GraphicConverter. A restricted version is difficult to implement.
In future, I will therefore make it easier to hide menu entries.

A rotated rectangle is transformed into an area. I do not support resizing of such areas.

The best approach for rotation of a selection is:
- make a selection
- use Layer > New Layer from Selection
- use Layer > Transform

The pixel values are transformed due the color profile conversion.

Normally this cause not much difference.

The saving of the Exif record can occupy the additional 4kb.
