How to put "transparent" in the pencil

Post by DanielM »

Hello! I know I can use the "transparent" tool to recolour all of one colour with "transparent" and I know I can use the poloygon or rectangle selection tool and <Delete> to clear an area to "transparent," but I have a complex graphic which I'd like to view at e.g. 300% and use the pencil to selectively change pixels to "transparent." Also, I know I can pick a weird colour not found in the graphic, change the existing transparent to that, then pencil with the weird colour, then change the weird colour to transparent. But, can I just put "transparent" in the pencil? The eyedropper tool won't suck it up, and it doesn't show up on the palette. Is there another way?
