automation question

Post by Rowland Carson »

I’ve not long been using GraphicConverter 9 (v9.7.1) and I find I can’t figure out a way to do something I’m sure I did quite easily in an earlier version of GC. I’ve got a folder of JPEGs and I want to create thumbnail versions of them all, putting the thumbnails in the same folder. So, for each file in turn I want to scale to 25% then re-save the file under a new name - changing the original name (f’rinstance) from hr36_05w.jpg to hr36_05t.jpg. I can see how to do the scaling in the batch setup window, but can’t see how to do the saving under a new name. There is a function for adding text to a filename, but I want to change the last character from “w” to “t”, not to add a character. I feel I am missing something really obvious and would welcome suggestions, please. in friendship Rowland : Rowland Carson ... that's Rowland with a 'w' ... : <rowlandcarson@gmail.com> http://www.rowlandcarson.org.uk : Skype, Twitter: rowland_carson Facebook: Rowland Carson : pictures: http://picasaweb.google.com/rowlandcarson
