I too have set this up, asking for email notifications for everything for GC and unsubscribing from the CADintosh forums (in which I have no interest). It will be interesting to see what happens…But I too would much prefer to receive copies of posts direct, either as they arrive or at the very least in a daily digest.I can see myself rapidly losing contact with GC, visiting the forum only if I have a specific problem. It will mean I shall no longer benefit from the experiences of others, nor will  be very likely to chip in in the very unlikely event that I could be able to help with another’s problem.Ah, well…John. This topic has received a reply by [new poster] since your last visit. No more notifications will be sent until you visitthe topic."I would much prefer to have the option of receiving the actual content of the day's posts in a digest format, but all I can find in the control panel is on or off, with on producing the email format above. :-(Anne

Hello John, Please check the new board, I have added several "How to » that can help you. Please use the Quick Links feature and the subscription feature to see the new topics and get e-mails as soon a change is done on a Topic. So please subscribe to the GraphicConverter Beta version Topic to be informed as soon as new beta is available. Currently we are looking for an extension to the board that could generate a daily/weekly Digest. Please be patient :-) Philippe

In the meantime, everyone should bookmark the forum and check it once a day. If you're participating in a thread, you'll get updates to that thread.

I'm not sure what Thorsten investigated when looking for a replacement for Yahoo mail list so I hesitate to make recommendations. Like many I tend to prefer the talk list when the number of posts is limited. However I have been happy with the forum hosted by the Reunion genealogical site and would especially recommend a look at the help files for this forum. I think similar options and an easily followed help file would make the move more palatable. S. While I think this particular ship has sailed, I do agree that the Reunion forum suits me very well.It gives a daily digest of postings so that you can read what people have posted without a need to visit the site, but each posting has a link so that you can go to it if you feel like offering a follow-up.John.
