Pattern Fill?

Post by JamesInSanDiego » Sun Nov 12, 2017 9:58 pm

Could you add a feature whereby I could design some patterns like horizontal/diagonal lines, polka dots or something more elaborate, be able to save them and then fill spaces with a pattern? The paint bucket can fill in solid colors nicely but allowing a paint bucket variant tool to fill an area with a predefined pattern would be great. I have in the past designed a pattern in a background layer and turned areas in the pic transparent to get such an effect but you can only have one background fill with only one color transparent in the picture. I would like to be able to fill different areas of the same picture with different patterns.

Custom patterns are already supported.
Just click onto the pattern and select "Show in Finder".
Place all your patterns into that folder to be able to select them for filling.

Oops, sorry. I should have read the manual better. Thanks.
