I find the ExifTool very useful but the numbers are displayed as exponents.
Would it not be straightforward for the user to display numbers as integers or reals (and without exponents) ?

All of them !
To take only one example : Focallen : 1.96e+03
instead of : Focallen : 1960

The display in the browser and image info is here perfect.

Where do you see this exactly?
