Using the GraphicConverter functions in third-party software

Post by macvf »

Did you know that enabling GraphicConverter extensions in the System preferences of your Mac allows the implementation of GraphicConverter functions in other software that supports third-party extensions such as: Apple Finder and Photos or any compatible application?

To activate the GraphicConverter extensions, follow the steps below:

• From the Finder Integration preferences of GraphicConverter click the Open System Preferences button (in GC v11.2 and greater). This action displays the Extensions panel of System Preferences on your Mac.

• In the list on the left of the Extensions panel select All, then in the right panel search for the GraphicConverter extensions.

• Check all the options to have them available at all times in all third-party software taking advantage of the extension plug-ins:
 Finder Extensions provides, in the context menu of the Finder, the GraphicConverter commands selected in the Finder Integration preferences of GraphicConverter.
 Photo modifications - GraphicConverter 11 Xe8472 provides the Xe8472 filter module in third-party image processing software that supports extensions such as Apple Photos software.
 Editing photos - Edit with GraphicConverter provides a command to edit images in GraphicConverter, from within third-party image processing software that supports extensions such as Apple Photos software.

For French user please refer to the GraphicConverter reference manual v6.2 to be released with GraphicConverter version 11.2 for more information on integrating GraphicConverter into Finder and third-party applications.
