[Solved] (batch) Embedding the filename in the image?

Post by cstern »

Hi,

For some images it could be handy if I could place a text box (or just the text) in a collection of images, where I could identify the image.

What I personally would need was the file name without path or extension - so a file "/Users/claus/Desktop/Micro-3564.jpg" would get the text "Micro-3564" (without quotes, of course) placed in for instance the lower left corner. Then the images should be saved as a copy not to overwrite the original. (some people may want the whole path, or filename with extension)

I can imagine other texts which for others could be interesting to be embedded and visible in the images, e.g. GPS coords, selected EXIF info (date etc), and IPTC info, etc.

Perhaps it is already possible, but I didn't see the option?

Thanks for your help

Hi,

yes, you can use the insert text batch action for this:

Just view our short tutorial movie:

Thanks - I suspected that GC could do it - and it could (but hidden away).

Great stuff
