[Closed] Batch file for "save for web"

Post by myronpm »

I use the "save for web" menu item frequently. Now I am trying to create a Batch file that will do the same thing but I cannot get the same size file. The following Batch functions are used:
Change format
Scale (long edge)
Resolution
Merge Profile into image
Maximum size
Sharpen luminesence

I was hoping there was just a simple Batch function but I cannot find it in the list of functions. Using this Batch I get files that we almost twice the size of using "save for web"

I must be doing something wrong but I cannot find out what it is. I have GC 10.5.

Thanks for any help.

Just click onto the format options and adjust the quality.
What is selected?

Using the Change Format Batch function, there are no options that I can see. However, if I change the options in the File/Save dropdown menu, it seems to apply those options to the Batch function. If I set the Quality to 70 or 80, I get reasonable file sizes.

Thanks for the help.
