GC 10.6.5 (3200)
Images are on an external USB HDD

I upgraded to the latest GC version a few days ago.

Automatic Xe 8472 filter works fine but I've just noticed that use of the full control Xe 8472 causes GC to hang. As long as I don't adjust any control, everything is OK but as I start to move a control, it initially works and then after about 2 -3 seconds, GC hangs with the spinning beachball. I've trashed preferences, tried several different images, restarted my Mac but still have the same issue.

I don't know if the problem just with GC 10.6.5 or goes back to earlier versions as I rarely use the full control Xe 8472 - the automatic Xe 8472 has always worked fine.

I. too . have had this same problem with the wonderful Xe 8472 function in the latest version of GC . It is not repeatable, but ocassionally when I use X38472 to edit , my entire OSX El Capitan system will freeze, not just Graphic Converter and not just the document I'm working on.

Only a hard shutdown of the Mac will clear up the hang/freeze/ problem.
I have always been able to reopen the same image, and re-use X38472 without issue , to complete the edit.

The Xe8472 anomaly is a sporadic one... It's only happened 3 times to me. It never happened in any previous version of GC 10 or 9. I do not use Xe 8472 very often.

In my case, the problem is completely repeatable - for any image.

As for you, not a function I use very often - if I need this filter, the automatic version almost always does the job.

GC 10.6.6 Beta - Build 3227 fixes the issue of Xe 8472 freezing on both my El Capitan Macs.
