[Closed] restore color from old "analog" slide

Post by Marty56 »

I have digitized my old slides but due to aging the colors are very brownish.
Is there a tutorial explaining how to restore the color of old analog photos using GC?

This depends a bit on the image.

Please forward a few sample files for testing to support@lemkesoft.de

I received the sample images and replied directly.

The general approach is:
1. Scan the negatives or slides as TIFF with 16 bit per channel. So, there is much more range for corrections compared to 8 bit per channel JPEG scans.
2. Try the following automatic corrections:

Screen Shot 2018-11-23 at 08.24.13.jpg (174.36 KiB) Viewed 3424 times
3. Try White/Gray Point, Xe8472 and the other manual corrections in addition.
