Lens EXIF info not showing in Photos after Catalina

I use GC to add Lens info to my photos without this info. Pre-Catalina when these photos were then added to Apple Photos the lens info shows up correctly, but under Catalina lens info not seen by Photos. Not sure if this is a CG or Photo problem. Note I also upgraded GC to 11.1 just before applying Catalina.
These two you can see the Lens info was applied identically, but top one was done pre-Catalina and pre-GC 11.1 and bottom one after GC 11.1 and Catalina...

NOTE: originally I applied the same lens name to the second one, so I tried to shorten it a bit and see if that made a difference. Hence the slightly different name. But originally I applied it exactly the same and has this issue still.

I have sent both files, the JPG that does show lens info correctly in Photos and the one I just tried today and does not. As another data point, I did take the original file that works and added it to photos again under Catalina and it still shows the lens info correctly in Photos.

That looks like a Photos issue.
The Exif data for the lens is stored following to the Exif standard.
Also, Preview shows the correct values.
So, maybe open an Apple bug report for Photos.

I just tried an experiment and simply copied the "Exif with GPS for paste" command and copied from the working file to the one not showing lens. I then added the previously non working file to Apple's Photos and now it is showing the lens info correctly. So somehow I altered the EXIF of the "problem" file originally in a way that prevented Photos from seeing the lens info.
I will keep an eye on this problem as I do the same sort of edit on future files and will update this thread if I discover a root cause.
