Is it possible to filter files that have resource forks in the Browser?
I try to avoid resource forks but some apps still create them. I'd like to zap all of them via Misc > Remove Resource Fork before archiving the images or using them on non-Mac environments.
[Solved] Find files with resource forks
Re: [Solved] Find files with resource forks
Thanks. Initially I thought none of the images had resource forks because the GC alert was always "0 files with a resource fork was selected". But later I noticed that there were, indeed, 282 files with resource forks selected in the Browser list.
I was surprised to find that the combined size of those files dropped as much as to 57% (782 -> 444 MB) when the resource forks were removed (I do have backups). I guess nowadays resource forks don't have much purpose? The only benefit seems to be preview for .tif files?
