[Solved] Converting jpeg files to mp4

Post by bourne5321 »

I have been able to convert a folder of jpg files to a single movie file in the mov format using GraphicConverter. It seems that the mp4 format is more universal for web display. I have used Handbrake to convert the mov to mp4 but thought it might be possible to use GraphicConverter to convert the jpg files and save them as a mp4 file in one step. Is this possible?
Thanks, David

Yes, GraphicConverter 11.4 supports this now.
Just select MP4 in the prefs:

Screen Shot 2021-02-28 at 20.01.59.jpg (160.88 KiB) Viewed 2185 times
and use the Export after that:

Thanks for the quick reply. But not quite solved. This is using the create slide show to movie option. This produces extra delay between images, artifacts at times, and transitions. The convert to movie is what I'm looking for but with output as a mp4 instead of mov. Thanks

Did you try to select only fade and set the transition time to zero?

Thanks for the quick reply. I thought I had tried all options ;-)

However,

Preferences > Slide Show > Export to Movie > Use only Fade and Duration 0.0 s
Preferences >Slide Show > General > Change Picture After Delay 0.05 seconds

Select jpeg images > Slide Show >Export to Movie...

Worked as desired. Thank you.

David

FYI, the movie I have prepared using this method is on https://www.boomer.org/co/Rt_CO/
