[Solved] Getting started with CAD

I am interested in learning to use CADintosh and not sure where to begin. Some of my basic questions are: When drawing a floor plan I create my room size and then I want to represent inside walls with parallel lines. How do I tell CADintosh to draw the parallel line for my right hand wall inside or to the left instead of outside to the right without having to calculate the distance from the far left hand wall? Or if I am drawing door swings and one swings in from the left and another swings in from the right or swings out. How do I tell CADintosh the direction of the swing arc?

I don't want to post basic questions like this each time I have one. So I am looking for resources to actually learn to use CAD that will cover this type of basics.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

I am also starting CAD again. The last time I used CAD (AutoCAD to be exact) was way back in 1980's.

One place I did find was www.mycadsite.com. The web page owner has been teaching CAD for awhile. Granted the lessons deal with AutoCAD, but I figured I give it a chance and see how it works with CADintosh.

Mr. Lemke (I think) has a presentation on YouTube where a room is created. This video may answer your questions.

I did watch Lemke's video and it helped a bit. Still a lot I need to learn and I will checkout the site you mentioned.

There is also an introductory PDF that you can access in the Help menu you might want to check out.
