Small question on Browse->slide show

If i just select slide show and go through the slide it works as expected. If I select Browse then slide show keys do not work as expected. Is this to be expected? If I use the space bar to forward through the slide show the space bar does not work. Am I doing something wrong or is GC not working the way it should? Ed
