I've used GraphicConverter on and off since it was new, and I have an old Polaroid SprintScan 4000 scanner as well that I've dusted off and am actually using. I realize that this equipment is terribly obsolete but does well enough for the job for which I use it, and it costs me nothing. I could use some help in three areas: 1) Tools for dust/scratch removal, ideally plug-ins that work with GC, but standalone applications are also okay. I have a very limited budget, so shareware or freeware is a must. 2) The slides I'm scanning are mostly over 30 years old. They've held up well except of course for some dust (hence item 1.) Ideas on cleaning the film itself? 2) I could really use a couple of film and slide carriers for this scanner. If you have or know of anyone who has this scanner or the identical Microtek ArtixScan 4000, who might have some film or slide carriers I could buy off of them, please let me know how to reach them.
