Scaling led to a white blank

I stopped chasing the betas at 6.6 beta 10. So my 6.6 problem today may already have been dealt with! [10.4.11 on an Intel Mac Mini] Asked several times for a 300x300dpi tiff to be be scaled to 85% horizontally and 100% vertically. Each time, the tiff went blank. Each time the original could be recovered by Command-Z. The graphic was actually a page of music that I wanted to narrow. After re-installing 6.5.2 the desired result was achieved in a few seconds. -- Hylton
