GC can't be opened

I have been using GC without a problem for a while but about three days ago I could not get the program to open (either by double clicking or by right clicking and selecting open). I downloaded the newest version (6.7.3) and was able to open it successfully for a few days. Today I tried opening it again but it will not open. When I double click the icon, nothing happens. When I right click and select "Open," I see the animation as if the program is opening but nothing happens. Any help would be appreciated. I am on a PowerBook G4 running OS 10.4.11
