Help: lasso tool...

I am trying to use the lasso tool to cut out and copy/paste a head into another picture. Is easy to do but once pasted into another pic how do I move it and re-size it to a proper size/position? Can't seem to find any help on it in the manual. Thanx so very much in advance!!!!
