Targa (.tga) with RLE Compression?

Post by Lars Bode »

Hi all, I am using GraphicConverter to save images as .tga files, which works fine (thanks to Batch Conversion and AppleScript). However, I would need the files without RLE compression, which doesn't seem to be possible with GC. When I use "Save as" and choose "TGA", I do have a button "Options", but when clicking that, all I get is a window with "Compression:" and the buttons "Cancel" and "OK", but no actual options. Is this a bug, or is there a workaround, so I can remove the compression? I have tested this on two different Macs, one running Lion, the other one Snow Leopard, both in different languages, so it is probably not a localisation issue either. Any help or hint would be much appreciated. Cheers Lars

Hello, the options are visible here on my mac. Please delete the prefs file. There is help at the bottom of the Help menu to find it. Attachments :Hi Hagen, Thanks for your reply. I have deleted the preference file on both Macs (or files, in Lion there were two plus two "locked preferences" or something like that), created a new user, re-downloaded a test version from the website (to make sure, it's nothing with the Mac App Store version) and installed that in the new user, but I never got any options, always the almost-blank window. I have attached a screen shot, so you can see the options window. There isn't any special setting to enable that, is it? Thanks and best regards Lars On Wed, 1 Feb 2012 09:23:38 +0100, Hagen Henke <hagen.henke@gmx.de> wrote: > Hello, > > the options are visible here on my mac. I think it is a problem Thorsten should take care of. He will answer as soon as possible. Hello, I released a new beta. Please check: http://www.lemkesoft.org/beta.html That does fix it.
