TMP file cannot be deleted
Recently, I have had several instances of a .tmp file for GC appearing on my desktop (where the actual file was too).Even after deleting the actual file, I cannot delete, remove or get info on the .tmp file even after GC is closed. The only way to remove it is to restart the computer. After a restart it is no longer there. This situation is intermittent but annoying. Is there a way to delete .tmp files without restarting the computer? Regards,Benoat Evans

Hello Thorsten,No, I did not trash the prefs. It's easier to live with the problem and restart the computer than have to reconfigure the prefs. On the other hand, maybe I should trash the prefs and upgrade to the current version. I'm still on v. 6.5.1 (1386).Regards,Benoat Evans On 2012-02-07, at 14:29, Thorsten Lemke wrote: Hello,Did you try to trash the prefs?ThorstenVon: "K. Move the prefs to the desktop to see if it fixes the problem. If not, you still have your prefs. From: "K.
