slide show with a video on second monitor (old) MacBook

Post by Yogie »

Hi, I do have an old MacBook with that I use to show slide shows. I have setup the slide show to use a second monitor (actually a TV) to show the images. In one slide show I do have a video which is starting but then stops after just a few seconds. This is happening any time. When I play it with QuickTime or from iTunes there are no problems. I can also drag the window onto the second screen (TV) but this is what I don't want, it should play seamlessly after a photo has been shown and then afterwards the next photo should be shown. My question is how to optimize the settings of the slide show or GC (I use the latest (non beta) version to achieve playing the video. I also tried several video formats and resolutions but that seems not to be a problem in general!? Even playing the video with GC on the MacBook screen does not work! Is there anything I can provide you that would help to get your advice? Cheers and many thanks in advance! Yogie

Hi Thorsten, the MacBook has SnowLeopard with the latest updates. I tried MOW and M4V. Would any other video format run? Which would be the best? Hi Thorsten, well I did install the extension, but this didn't changed the behavior. As said before playing the video with the QucikTime player or within iTunes does the job. But playing it out of GC does not work. And when I will held my presentation I don't want to start changing programs to show a video in-between of my photos. I need to concentrate on my lecture.
