With GC 8.3 (987) on iMac with OS X 10.6.8: On a PNG (RGB+Alpha), Picture>Alpha Channel>Show in New Window does not display the Alpha Channel window. The "Show in New Window" menu item does dim. Tried with a few PNGs and also after trashing GC prefs. --- In gcmac@yahoogroups.com, "lemkesoft" <lemke@...> wrote: > I released a new beta. > Please check: > http://www.lemkesoft.org/beta.html > It added support for various Mountain Lion features and other stuff.

GraphicConverter 8.3 (Build 987) - Not available for download?

Post by Robert Vaessen »

Thorsten - I went to the beta download page (clicked the link below), downloaded the GC linked there (at appx 0105GMT on the 2nd of Sep). The date on the page says "2012-08-12". Link named "GraphicConverter 8.2.1 (Build 986) (100MB) for 10.6.8 or later multilanguage" points to <http://www.lemkesoft.org/beta/gc8_build986.dmg> Disk Image downloaded is named: gc8_build986.dmg Date created and date modified are both '2012-08-12' After mounting the disk image, I saw an application named: GraphicConverter.app Get info on that application shows Version: 8.2.1, © 1992-2001 Thorsten Lemke, © 2002-2012 Lemke Software GmbH Once the application is running, the 'About GraphicConverter' dialog says: GraphicConverter 8 Version 8.2.1 (986). The other link "GraphicConverter 8.2.1 (Build 986) (100MB) for 10.6.8 or later with uncompressed NIBs for the translators" points to URL: <http://www.lemkesoft.org/beta/gc8_build ... ressed.dmg>. I didn't download this application, but I'm guessing that it's also the 986 build/beta. Perhaps you forgot to upload the new beta? - Robert On Sep 2, 2012, at 2:32 AM, lemkesoft <lemke@lemkesoft.de> wrote: > Hello, > > I released a new beta. > Please check: > http://www.lemkesoft.org/beta.html > > It added support for various Mountain Lion features and other stuff. > > Regards > Thorsten Lemke

I tried this on two Macbooks one running 10.6 and one running 10.8 The biggest problem is not seeing thumbnails in the browser on *some* folders. On the 10.6 machine I see generic icons instead of thumbnails. If I select them all and "make preview" the thumbnails will appear. On 10.8 after browsing a few folders I'll see a big white window where the thumbnails are supposed to be. No generic files, no file names, nothing, as if the folder is empty. Then I quit GC and I reopen it and the thumbnails render properly. After browsing a bit it happens again. Hello: I may have reported this before, but just in case... Working with GC 8.3 (build 999, I think), 32-bit (I don't remember why not 64-bit, but there was something I couldn't do with 64-bit), I had two problems: 1. In Slideshow, only the first couple of seconds of any movie are played. I have to go the file and play it from there, to see the movie. These are .MOV files, but I think I've had the problem with other formats, as well. 2. When I try to make a collage, by opening a new (blank) window and copying in selections from various photos, I cannot move the selections around: they get pasted in centered on where the cursor is in the new window, and although I can move the bounding box after a paste, the selection stays where it is. Hello,1) I can't reproduce this here. I tried with movies from my iPhone.2) I have no layers, yet. So, you can only copy and paste images. You can't rearrange them later.Thorsten On 08.10.2012, at 19:17, Susan Kayser <sukayser@gmail.com> wrote:   Hello: I may have reported this before, but just in case...
