selection tool problem

When I use the rectangle selection tool, it seems I can only select in 20 pixel increments. Have I inadvertently changed some preference setting? That's all I can think of but I can't find anything. I'm using GC 9.2.1 on an iMac running OSX Mavericks 10.9.4.

Thank you Thorsten, that's exactly what it was. I knew it had to be something very simple, but I'm not a "power user" and had missed that. Help much appreciated,John
