Scripting GC Browser

I want to go through a folder of pictures and change the IPTC info on all of them without having to open them individually and recompress the file. I can manually do it by selecting all the images in a browser window and making my changes to the IPTC data on all of them in one go. I would like to script it because I need to assign ser# to the objectname fields as I go along. I also have certain circumstances where I will want to change, delete or append the various fields. It would be wonderful if this could be scripted. I have not had any problems with other scripting functions - the program has performed perfectly. I haven't been able to find a way or any references in the dictionary to script the browser functions. Am I missing something or is it not possible?
