[Solved] Bulk add photos for the collage feature

Post by paintingPenguins »

First off,. sorry if I am dumb and this feature already exists.

I wish the program to be able to get the software to automatically populate the collage grid with my images.
I would also like to be able to add this as part of a batch job

I have 28 images (of the exact same size) that
I wish to put into a simple grid collage.

I go to the collage feature.

I add my photos, that all display nicely on the right hand pane.
I select the correct number of columns and rows for the grid layout.
I then select all photos via "click dragging" a box around them.
All photos are highlighted.
I click to drag them onto the collage pane.
The drag operation shows the count of photos (28) as I drag them over.
Then nothing happens when I release the button.

I wanted the grid to be populated automatically on drag and drop.
Manually moving each image into an empty slot is time consuming.

To be clear in this use case, the order of the images in the collage
is unimportant.

As long as all photos are in the grid that is all that matters.

I wish the program to be able to get the software to automatically populate the collage grid with my images.

I suggest to use the catalog function from the browser for this case.

Just select all images in the browser.
Select Catalog or print catalog:

Make the desired setting:
