Batch Conversion Options

Post by JamesVolpe2024 »

We had a batch conversion in place with version 7 to create special TIF files and now after upgrading to 12 I am unable to locate some of the features we need. If anyone can help me locate these options from Add Batch Functions menu it would be much appreciated:

1. Colors
Depth: 4-Bit

Color Table: > Optimize Color Table
> Reserve 2
> Res. Color to Start

2. Change Color Mode
Color Mode: Indexed Colors

Thanks,
-James

GraphicConverter 8 and later was completely rewritten and uses current macOS technology.
So, the creation of 2 and 4 bit palette images was dropped. 1 bit is still supported. The import of such files is still supported. But they are now very very rarely used.

Can you maybe use 8 bit grayscale?

Thank you! We have to use color so don't think grayscale will work. Will have to explore some other options for the 4 bit part. I tried doing it it in Photoshop but waiting to hear back from our programmers.
