I have been using GraphicConverter to separate people and objects from backgrounds, but I don't feel like I'm using GC to my fullest potential.
What is the best approach and process for doing this in the best possible way?
I get close, but then I spend a lot of time painting pixels. I can't imagine doing this for every frame of an animated GIF.
I work with real photo images and images from cartoons and anime.

Re: Seperating people from backgrounds
GraphicConverter 11.5.3 added now a great new masking feature.
Just select in the menu Faces/Persons the item Mask People: and you will get the following result: This new feature requires macOS Monterey.

Re: [Added] Seperating people from backgrounds
The new masking feature in GraphicConverter 11.5.3 sounds really helpful for separating people from backgrounds.
