Access iPhone on Sequoia

Post by delovski »

As I start GC it asks me if I want to browse images on connected device - doesn't say iPhone but LOC:33... and as I click on the button Browse blank screen appears and that's it.

Do I need to turn on some settings in Privacy & Security?

You have to allow the access upon the question.

You can grant the access later in the Apple system settings under privacy. That is normally full disk access and removable drives disk access.

Well, I did allow it when GS asked me for the access. I see it under Full disk access but I can't find this removable drives option.

I found this: https://support.apple.com/en-tj/guide/m ... 613f75/mac and there is nothing about GS or removable disk access under General -> Storage.

But, the same version of GS works just fine in Sonoma so I downloaded all of the images from my phone over there.

I have my own app that was having problems accessing mysql database on Sequoia. I had to trash it and then reinstall it again several times before Mac asked me all of the access questions for everything to start working ok so for now, I'm happy with my photos on the Sonoma Mac.

edit - as I have many computers and phones, Sonoma solved my 15 Max and 12 Mini but GC could not load images on my X.

I would start GraphicConverter, it would ask me if I want to browse images from my iPhone X and then it would just show browse window without any content, show placeholder for the first image and then beachball. After maybe an hour I did Force Quit on GC.

I was able to get those images on Monterey and Catalina in older versions of GC so I'm fine for now.

I suggest to reset the permissions with the Apple TCC tool by the command line:

tccutil reset All com.lemkesoft.graphicconverter12

You have to quit GraphicConverter 12 before execution of the line.
The macOS will ask again for all permission.
