macOS Sequoia 15.4.1
GC 12.4 (6799)
Apple TV 4th Generation (NOT 4K) Model MLNC2B/A Firmware 18.4.1
I'm not sure how long I've had this problem as I don't often play photos back to my Apple TV.
My photos in GC are normally odered more or less by creation date/time but might be moved around a bit. I then rename them with a more meaningful sequential filename as they might have been taken on several different cameras.
I've just done an Export to Apple TV …
The photos are in the correct order in the folder on my desktop.
However, when I access them on my Apple TV, they are displayed in reverse order?
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Larry

How do you transfer the files to the Apple TV? Do you use Photos?

Re: Problems Exporting for Apple TV
Hi,
Sorry for the delayed response - I don't know why but I'm still not receiving notifications when my posts are replied to. No idea why - I've checked my account settings several times and everything looks OK. I've also checked spam folders and the notifications haven't gone there either …
Having done the GC Export for Apple TV, I put all the re-organised photos in a folder on the Desktop and then:
Settings -> General -> Sharing -> Media Sharing On -> Home Sharinng -> Share Photos with Apple TV -> Choose … -> Share Photos From: -> Choose Folder … and select the folder where the photos are.
This does allow me to display the photos from the folder but they are in the wrong order …?
Thanks

Did you set the Exif dates into the correct ordering, too?

Re: Problems Exporting for Apple TV
Not sure I understand …
All the images are just in reverse order on the AppleTV from how I have named them in GC.
This happens even if they are still in file created date order - I suppose the EXIF dates will be the same?
Still not getting notifications of replies to questions. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Larry

Re: Problems Exporting for Apple TV
Larry,
I did a little research. It seems that Apple uses the order based on when the image was added.
What happens if you display the images in reverse order in the browser and add the images now?
The forum notification is active. Did you check your SPAM folder?

OK - yes, if I display the images in GC Browser in the reverse order, they do come up on the AppleTV in the correct order …
No, I've checked both my local spam folder amd my gmail account online spam folder - nothing. I've also checked if I have inadvertently blocked the forum in some way but not as far as I can see.
Thanks,
Larry
