[Solved] set exif date from filename question

Post by denrael »

I am trying to work with the Set EXIF Date from Filename option and running into issues.

I can get it to work using both filename and directory name, IF the EXIF Date is at the start of the filename. For example:

20250213.131313_rest_of_file.jpg using YYYYMMDD 00:00:01 as my template

If however the file name is something like 1_20250213.131313_rest_of_file.jpg I cannot get it to work. I've tried using the X filler as either:
XYYYYMMDD 00:00:01 or XXYYYYMMDD 00:00:01 but neither seem to work. I can't find any real detail on how to use the filler in the user manual and I'm hoping someone can assist.

Thanks
Den

You template should be following to the dialog:
YYYYMMDD.hhmmss to convert 20250213.131313 to February 13, 2025 at 13:13:13
