[Closed] Colorizing an image

I'm not sure if this is something that can be addressed here but GC has been able to do so much, I thought I'd ask before looking into a Nikon forum. I was taking some nature images and, while switching lenses either the camera had a glitch or I hit a button that I shouldn't have, but a batch of images are showing up as grayscale. I've included a couple of screenshots of the information from GC and Nikon NX Studio. It looks like it's already an RGB file so I'm not sure how it's grayscale (maybe I'm missing a basic understanding).

The JPEGs have three channels. But all channels contain have the exact same content. So, the image was converted to grayscale in your other app during processing.
So, that can’t be undone.

You can only use the colorize command inside GraphicConverter. But that will not give perfect results here. It is more designed for old photos.
