Problem W/ GC and Convert & Modify

I have been dealing with T. Lemke offline and he has been really nice about fixing small bugs . My latest issue with GC (and this seems to happen every 3rd (or so) release of GC). My question/problem is that when I run convert/modify when adding icons to the JPG(GIF's etc). GC changes the date of the file to when the conversion is done. I even sent my PLST to Mr. Lemke . He sent me a beta version 5.7.1 This has not helped out the situation. I am pretty sure I have set in the preferences NOT to do this. Again Mr. Lemke has been great in support issues. I would love not to keep having these issues . Any suggestion what options to double check so I don't have to bug him again? I use the date extensively to keep track of files and need to have the create date maintained. TIA, Ed
