Slide show and 10.4 Saved Search folders

I recently had the occasion to create a saved search folder to grab images from many different folders and gather them in a "meta" folder for research purposes. If I select the resulting files, and select Display in Slideshow from the GC contextual menu, GC runs a slide show with its current settings of the selected files. Perfect. On the other hand, if I try to start the slideshow from within GC, by navigating to ~/Library/Saved Searches/, the resulting Saved Search folders in that directory are greyed out. I don't know anything about programming, but it would be very handy if I could start a slideshow by pointing GC at one of these meta folders. Is such a thing even possible? I'm not a programmer, so I do not know, but I thought I'd mention it. Thanks as always for this wonderful, versatile program - it's endlessly useful. Ran
